I am Carole Salas, a senior conference interpreter and translator with over 25 years of experience supporting high-stakes communication in the international development and advocacy space. Based between Rome and Ibiza, I work with NGOs, international institutions, and global networks to ensure that messages are conveyed with accuracy, nuance, and authority—so that dialogue can move forward and decisions can lead to real-world impact.

My work sits at the intersection of language, policy, and global change. I regularly facilitate multilingual exchange on complex, sensitive issues including human rights, gender equality, climate action, sustainable development, global health, food security, and agricultural innovation. I also have a strong history in cultural heritage contexts, including heritage-based climate action and post-conflict recovery, where cultural sensitivity and precision are essential.

I provide simultaneous, consecutive, and remote interpreting, as well as translation and editorial services. Whatever the format, I bring the same standards of discretion, preparation, and clarity—helping organizations communicate effectively across languages and cultures, from high-level policy forums to grassroots and community-led conversations.

I work in French and Spanish as native languages, with full professional proficiency in English and Italian, and professional working proficiency in Portuguese.
